Christian & Meghan: Stone Mountain Arts Center Wedding

By Anne | October 9, 2012

Christian and Meghan wed at the amazing Stone Mountain Arts Center on September 8th, 2012.  The skies stayed dry all day, and only shed raindrops when night time fell.  The Stone Mountain Arts Center (aka SMAC) is truly a unique place.  It is set in the foothills of the White Mountains, and has two gorgeous barns to host the wedding day festivities.  In addition there are backdrops galore including dirt roads, an old cape house, and an amazing weathered barn just down the road.  Meghan and Christian were just so sweet, and opted to have an intimate first look moment before their ceremony.  We drove to the barn just down the road for a few portraits, and then I found a logging road that seemed to compliment Meghan’s beautiful wedding dress perfectly.  Guests arrived on school buses to the SMAC, and as friends and family entered the main barn there was a slideshow playing that instantly brought laughter and tears of joy.  When everyone was seated Meghan walked down the aisle, and Christian met her halfway to accompany her down the remaining length.  They had a wonderful ceremony, and the skies were still clear to do bridal and family portraits outside afterwards.  They were welcomed back into the Quisana Barn with champagne confetti bottles exploding everywhere!  So fun!  The main barn was transformed into the dinner reception room, with lovely wild flower centerpieces and guests ready to eat the amazing food the Stone Mountain Arts Center is known for.  Wonderful toasts were made, and dancing into the night was held back in the Quisana barn.  What a day!  Thank you Meghan and Christian, I loved capturing your wonderfully awesome and sweet wedding!
