When Katherine contacted me about her wedding day, I was so excited I still had the date available! She shared with me her intimate and unique wedding details in Vermont and hoped I could capture her day as she loved my work! I’m so glad it worked for all of us, as I loved their wedding day! Katherine and Tom had their first look moment at the Hotel Vermont: a new modern, chic, and beautiful hotel right in downtown Burlington. We took a few portraits there and then hopped in our cars to take some fun portraits in downtown Burlington. We headed to Lake Champlain with the beautiful Adirondacks in the distance and a classic pier to walk out on. Near the lakeside, there were beautiful industrial buildings with fun brick textures and a fabulous wooden door for us to work with as our backdrop. Next, we headed to a couple cool murals tucked away on Burlington side streets. Wow, so different and sublime, a photographers dream to shoot at these spots! But wait, they needed to get married! After the mural photos we headed to the Intervale Community Farms for their ceremony. Their closest friends and family were gathered inside the beautiful red barn and watched Katherine’s mother and father walk her down the aisle to Tom. They had a sweet ceremony inside the barn and sealed it with a kiss! Family portraits followed and a fun group photo of everyone as well! Soon it was time to head back to Hotel Vermont for the reception. On our way back we swung by Lake Champlain for a few stunning sunset portraits and, when we arrived at the hotel, we took a couple of portraits in Hotel Vermont’s contemporary designed interior. At the reception there were lovely toasts, sweet first dances and fun dancing with everyone! Thank you so much for having me capture your day Katherine & Tom, I enjoyed every moment of it! It is definitely a favorite from the 2013 season!
