Jarrod & Erica: Alerin Barn & Vermont Wedding
September 15th, 2012 was a beautiful one, with some slightly threatening clouds that lucky never produced any rain on Jarrod and Erica’s wedding. Hooray! Erica and Jarrod wed at the beautiful Alerin Barn in St. Johnsbury Vermont. This inn is tucked away in the rolling hills of Vermont and they have an incredible timber frame barn to host the evening festivities. In addition they have a covered pavilion next to the barn that is perfect for the cocktail hour! Erica and Jarrod both got ready at the Alerin Barn, and opted to have a sweet first moment look, and it was beautiful! I am really loving these special and intimate portraits before the wedding ceremony. It was a really wonderful time for the two of them to check in with one another on their wedding day. It was also hilarious as Jarrod is constantly keeping Erica smiling with lil’ jokes and such! They said their “I do’s” up on top of the hill, where all the guests were transported there by the inn’s ol’ tractor and carriage. So cute! After the ceremony Erica and Jarrod enjoyed the cocktail hour with all their friends and family since we did most of their portraits before hand. But before we all went into the barn they had a request to feed the inn’s goats. Again, so cute and the goats didn’t even nibble on Erica’s dress! The night was filled with hilarious toasts where my second shooter and I were almost rolling on the floor with laughter. And everyone boogied on into the wee hours of the night. Congrats Erica & Jarrod! I LOVED your day! Take a peek below!
